Kyklopas Ages is a Makris PDO extra virgin olive oil from Makri in the Evros region of Thrace. Made exclusively from the indigenous Makri olive, this early-harvest, monovarietal oil is hand-harvested, mechanically extracted and cold pressed. The olives are pressed within a maximum of 90 minutes from harvest.

Aroma and taste

The aromatic profile includes banana peel, freshly cut grass, green apple and tomato. On the palate, the oil is described as sweet, with green almond, grass and black pepper notes.

The oil comes from a centuries-old Makri olive grove. Production is limited; the supplied 2020 production figure is 1,640 bottles.

Packaging

The 500ml glass bottle has a permanent matt dark-blue colouring. Its curved form, proportions and shape reference older container forms while retaining a classic, modern look. The matt finish is intended to add a tactile quality alongside its visual appearance.

The bottle features a stylized, gold-plated and embossed perennial olive tree graphic inspired by the grove. A cap seal and folded neck label complete the presentation; the label tells the product story.
